East London

Waah… almost 2 weeks already.
Really haven’t grasp the fact that I’m going to stay here in London for 5 years.
However, I have grasped the many nitty-gritty rules of living here:
- Only cross at the ‘Green Man’ traffic light and make sure that it is GREEN (or if there’s no car, can try your luck la) or not they’ll hoooooooooooooooooon all the way from behind
- Stand on only the right side of the escalator. They WILL push you.
- Walk very, very, very fast. Take long strides. This, i presume is very troublesome for some Malaysians as our kaki tak la panjang sangat
- Do not answer knocks at 2am in the morning. Drunks playing around.
- Never be late. Which is 5 minutes before whatever starts. They frown and perli and do not give notes to those who arrived 3 minutes before the agreed time.
- Never stammer when you’re talking to the shop owner. First of all, they hardly understand our oh-so-American accent. Secondly, they’ll think you’re afraid of them and will definitely bully you for it.
- Don’t even try to inject Malaysian words while you’re talking to the locals. They look at you as if you can’t talk English. Which is bad. As they’ll start talking with their superbly-hard-to-understand-British-accent.
- If you have something bad about someone to talk about, talk fully in BM. Don’t even try to whisper. They got ears like a wolf.
Aaah… I’m being very jahat right now, talking bad about Londoners ne~
Gomen ne~ I must be meccha sleepy
Ah well, Loving London actually. Thankful to God.
And finally, Londoners go karaoke, walk EVERYWHERE, shop at all the branded outlets and get to watch tv online…. Mynn, you’ll love it here
You’re describing the Londoners as if they are indecent n not being respectful to others whom they think not a part of their community. Well it’s a way much better here in Edmonton, Canada =). Multiracial but live in harmony. Dan juga sgt tenang. Bleh caye ke? Huhu u’ll noe once u arrive here. Take care.
Well, i dunnow if dat’s how london is.. but here in manchester, everyone looks very nice =) although somehow i sometimes stutter to talk to someone, they’ll definitely lend their ears to hear my thoughts =) haha.. very funny if u think bout it..
People here are always drunk too.. parties everywhere! especially during sat nites! haha.. i hampir2 di’ngorat’ bye these 2 drunk ladies, struggling to make sign language of “I love you, kiss, kiss, kiss” in front of the window.. byk dugaan.
owh, ya, i agree about d traffic light part.. the cars here are damn fast, man! hehe.. i always be a moving target for them to ram into if i tried crossing wif a ‘red man’ sign still on! haha.. cari pasal.
well, if u’re a proud londoner, than i guess i am a proud MANCUNIAN =P hehe
